Prof. Dr. Peter Haan

Peter Haan is professor of empirical economic research at the Free University of Berlin and leads the public economics department at DIW Berlin. His research assesses the impact of demographic change and social policy reforms – in particular pension reforms – and quantifies the labour market and distributional effects. His research has been published in leading international journals, including the Economic Journal, Journal of Health Economics, Journal of Econometrics and the Journal of Public Economics.

Prof. Dr. Peter Haan has been a member of the German Social Advisory Council since 2024.
